        Molecular Biology Laboratory (alias Molecular Biology Core Facility) was created in 2010 as part of the planned investment in the project:

        "Modernization of integrated educational and research laboratories in the Centre of Excellence BIOANIREP " funded by the Operational Programme an Innovative Economy 2007-2013, Priority 2: R&D INFRASTRUCTURE, Measure 2.1 Development of research centres with high potential.

Bravo

Agilent Bravo Automated Liquid Handling Platform is the fastest and the most versatile liquid-handling system available, enabling to handle small volumes of liquids in the range of 100 nl – 200 µl.

The device is equipped with a pipette head that allows to work with 96 tips simultaneously. It is also possible to program it for different number of tips, including pipetting of individual wells. Solutions used in Bravo Platform give a possibility to very efficient configuration of pipetting into 96- and 384-wells plates. Thus, pipetting of qPCR plates using Bravo is not faster and more precise, but it also reduces reagent consumption and therefore diminishes cost of the amplification reaction.
Nine positions located in a laminar flow, clean bench allows to use this device for the research on living cells or to handle dangerous reagents.
Bravo platform is also equipped with a washing station connected to a vacuum pump which may be used for protocols that allow purified and reused tips.
Unique, open construction of Bravo platform allows using standard qPCR plates as well cell/tissue culture and ELISA plates, providing flexibility needed in the lab, where not only analysis of nucleic acids are analyzed, but also to proteins and cells.
