Beckman Optima™ L-100XP Ultracentrifuge

Beckman Optima™ L-100XP Ultracentrifuge is an efficient ultracentrifuge system, which can be used in proteomic, genomic, transcriptomic studies.

This centrifuge has an advanced operating system and modern software enable optimization of separation techniques, stimulation of separation, calculations and automatic recording of separation.

Our Beckman Optima™ L-100XP Ultracentrifuge has two rotors:

- Fixed-angle Type 90 Ti Rotor - 8 x 13.5 mL, maximum speed: 90 000 rpm (694 000 x g)
- Swinging Bucket Type SW 40 Ti Rotor - 6 x 14 mL, maximum speed: 40 000 rpm (285 000 x g).

It has adjustable temperature in the range of 0 to 40°C (in increments of 1°C) with an accuracy +/- 0.3. Key parameters of the spinning protocol are displayed on the screen (time, temperature, spin speed). The big advantage of the ultracentrifuge is also a tolerance to an imbalance that gives the opportunity to safely spin samples showing +/- 10% difference of mass.

Beckman Optima™ L-100XP Ultracentrifuge is located at the Protein Lab (Room A25).
