NanoDrop 1000
NanoDrop 1000 is a spectrophotometer allowing to determine quality (purity) and quantity of isolated biological material in few seconds.
A small amount of sample (approx. 1 µl), the ability to measure high concentrations and no need for using cuvettes improve and accelerate the process of analysis of your sample. The sample pedestal is easy to clean and reduces the likelihood of sample contamination. The device is operated by the software, which allows live results observation on the monitor screen and simple data archiving, storage and export to TXT files.
NanoDrop 1000 works in the wavelength range of visible light (220 - 750 nm). Absorbance measurements are carried out directly during passing light through the tested sample on 0.1-0.2 mm path, which improves and accelerates the process of analyzing samples. The device is able to determine the quantity and purity of: double-stranded DNA in the range of 2 to 3700 ng/µl, single-stranded DNA: ≤ 2400 ng/µl, RNA: ≤3000 ng/µl and the protein concentration in the range of 0.10-100 mg/ml BSA (at 280 nm). Moreover, it is possible to determine the degree of fluorescence of nucleic acids used for the microarray analysis, the concentration of purified proteins, and even the measurement of cells density. A small amount of sample needed for measurement saves valuable and hard to reach samples.
